BRIEF INTRODUCTION

Hardware of TY2000 gas making furnace DCS optimized control system adopts a DCS system and an auxiliary control cabinet developed by the company. It is an expert software package series product designed according to the principles of gas from coal and many years of engineering experiences.

PERFORMANCE FEATURES

1. Control station of DCS adopts the configuration of 1:1 thermal redundancy.

2. Configuration of the auxiliary control cabinet makes the control system safer and more reliable, as well as the operations more convenient.

3. Device for automatic measurement of carbon layer height can measure the height of carbon layer and adjust coke amounts.

4. Expert software package is applied to optimized control of furnace conditions.

5. Sequential control of the gas-making furnace can be completed.

6. Control room realized operations without an indicator dial.

7. As per user’s requirements, DCS of domestic or foreign brands can be adopted.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

Sequential control of process valves

As per process requirements for production of semi-water gas (water gas), sequential control of process valves is realized by DCS through controlling the actuating mechanism via a power interface. DCS is used to complete sequential control of valves and detection of valve locations. Compared with conventional PLC, it has more advantages and functions.

Routine control

1. Static feed-forward control of the pressure of steam   

2. Automatic adjustment of the H/N ratio

Optimized control of furnace conditions

Main regulating parameters of optimized control include:

1. Air blowing time       

2. Ratio between up-blow and down-blow times     

3. Control of slag layer thickness

4. The additional coke amount can be adjusted   

5. Control on flow of steam entering the furnace

Goals of optimized control

1. Stabilize the load of the gas-making furnace    

2. Stabilize the position of the gasification layer and raise heat storage capacity of the fixed bed

3. Control height of the slag layer   

4. Raise the steam decomposition rate       

5. Save energy, reduce consumption and be eco friendly

Functions of management and dispatching

After the DCS system is used, the gas-making workshop realizes operations without indicator dials. All data are saved in computers. This makes the unified management of the gas easy. Additionally, it can be connected to the management network of the plant.
